Scottish ceilidh night of Gaelic folk music and dancing hosted by Fiddle Paradiddle in the tap room of Small Beer Brewery.
Fiddle Paradiddle are bringing a ceilidh to Small Beer Brewery & Taproom on Friday 23 October, from 19:30 to 22:30. It's the first of a run of seven Fridays: 6 and 20 November, 4 and 18 December, 15 and 29 January, with a Burns Night special on 27 January. The band describes themselves as London's wildest ceilidh band, and they run these nights across five different strongholds in the city.
For those who've never been, a ceilidh is a Scottish and Irish tradition of having a laugh supported by Gaelic folk music and dancing. The name itself translates simply as 'social visit'. The night takes over the large tap room at Small Beer, just off the Bermondsey Beer Mile in South Bermondsey. The brewery brews draught beer under 2.8% ABV and serves its own range alongside cider, wine, spirits and soft drinks, with a street food van on site. The evening is pitched as much about the beer as the dancing: the tap room is open to the public from 4pm, and the dancing fills the floor around 8pm.

Entry for the ceilidh is £20.35, or £43.20 if you add a haggis supper, which comes in meat, vegan or gluten-free versions. The first one is Friday 23 October, 19:30-22:30, at Small Beer Brewery & Taproom, 70-72 Verney Road, London SE16 3DH.
