Grass-roots Halloween party with fancy dress at The Jacaranda Club, the historic Liverpool live music venue.
TurnTable are hosting their Halloween party at The Jacaranda Club on Thursday 29 October, and fancy dress is very encouraged. It's billed as a grass-roots Halloween party at an independent Liverpool venue, so if you've got a costume you've been waiting for an excuse to wear, this is a good one to bring it out for.
For those who haven't spent much time there, The Jacaranda Club on Slater Street is one of the city's most famous live music venues. It opened in 1958, run by Allan Williams, the Beatles' first manager, and played a part in building the Merseybeat movement. It's where the Beatles played their first ever live show and where Ringo Starr first met the band. The venue still houses a record store, and its 300-capacity basement continues to nurture local talent alongside bigger names.
The night runs from 19:00 to around 22:30, so it's an early one that wraps up well before midnight. The club is in the city centre south, just a five-minute walk from Liverpool Central station, which makes it easy to get to and leave from without needing a car. If you're coming from further afield, you can jump off the train and be there in a few minutes.
