Muse tribute act Plug In Maybe recreates the band's arena shows with lights, visuals and live cameras in a standing 18+ night at Camp and Furnace.
Plug In Maybe are back at Camp and Furnace on Friday 23 October, their first return to the venue since their last show there. They're a Muse tribute band from Huddersfield, and they describe their whole thing as recreating the stadium-sized intensity of the Teignmouth trio's arena shows in intimate venue settings. It's a fair summary of what they do: they take the sound of a massive room and bring it down to a size you can actually stand in.
The set runs through Muse's discography, from Showbiz to Origin of Symmetry, Absolution and beyond. They go for faithful recreations of Matt Bellamy's signature falsettos and guitar riffs, set against thunderous basslines. It's not just about the songs, though; the show leans on immersive production to sell the effect, with synced lights, visuals, live cameras and stage dressing. Strobe and flashing lights are used throughout, so it's a full-on production rather than just a band on a stage.
They're returning to Camp and Furnace by popular demand after an electrifying performance the previous time they played here, so if you caught them then, you'll know what to expect. The night is strictly 18+ and runs as a standing event with limited unreserved seating, so it's one for being on your feet.
