Performers' workshop hosted by Harvey Robinson to work on audition monologues one-to-one, for adults aged 18 and over.
The Royal Court Liverpool is running a performers' workshop on audition monologues at The Studio on Friday 23 October, from 10am to 12pm. It's a morning session, so you're in and out by lunchtime. The format is straightforward: you bring a monologue you've already learned off-book, and you work on it one-to-one with the tutor. It's for anyone aged 18 and over, and spaces are limited to ten, so it stays a small group rather than a crowded room.
All the Royal Court's performers' workshops are hosted by Harvey Robinson, an actor, composer and tutor who's worked across theatre, TV and radio. He's done work with the BBC and Channel 4, performed in the West End and on Broadway, and toured nationally, so he knows the audition circuit from both sides of the room. Having that kind of range — stage, screen and radio — is a useful thing when you're trying to figure out how to make a monologue land.
The venue is The Studio, part of the Royal Court at 1 Roe Street, L1 1HL. The theatre describes itself as the friendliest in the city, and the building is a Grade II listed Art Deco gem, which is a nice backdrop for a morning of work. If you have any access requirements, you can send them over to Harvey at td@liverpoolsroyalcourt.com.

Tickets are £20, and since spaces are capped at ten, it's worth booking early if you're keen. Just a heads-up on the fine print: bookings are non-refundable after 16 October, so make sure you've got the date locked in. The session runs from 10am to 12pm on Friday 23 October at The Studio, Royal Court Liverpool.
