Monthly themed life drawing session with Goth drag queen Shuv Barbital as model, with basic materials provided.
Liverpool Life Drawing is back at The Bookbinder on Sunday 18 October, with this one built around Goth Drag. It's one of their monthly themed costume sessions, and this time the focus is on Goth poses rather than traditional ones, so it's aimed at those who want to draw something a bit more dramatic and theatrical than a standard life class.
The night is presented by The Secret Circus, and the main feature is Goth drag queen Shuv Barbital, who'll be the one posing for the room. You'll have professional models and hosts running the session, so it's not just you and a blank page — there's a proper structure to the evening, and it's open to all levels, whether you've spent years with a sketchbook or this is your first time sitting in.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Liverpool and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

On the practical side, basic materials are provided on the night, so you can turn up with nothing and still get stuck in. That said, if you've got your own charcoal and prefer to work with it, you're more than welcome to bring it along. The session runs from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at The Bookbinder, 2 Lark Lane, L17 8US. Spaces are limited and booking is non-refundable, so if you're keen, it's worth getting your spot sorted early.
