Weekly Girls on the Go (GOTG) pottery painting night for girls to paint a piece from the venue's collection and collect it two weeks later.
Girls on the Go are hosting a pottery painting session at Frankie's Paint It Pottery on Tuesday 3 November, from 7pm to 9pm. It's part of their weekly run of activities for girls in Liverpool, which they set up to help people make friends in the city. They've framed this one as 'the CUTEST girls night', and it's pretty straightforward: you get two hours to paint whatever you like from the venue's collection, and then you come back two weeks later to collect the finished piece.
If you're thinking of coming on your own, you're in good company. Around half the group turn up solo, and they're all seated together at a dedicated table, so there's a built-in crowd to chat with. It's worth knowing that no one from Girls on the Go is actually there on the night, so the venue staff are the ones who settle the solo attendees in together. The studio is at 268 Smithdown Road, L15 5AH, and it's wheelchair accessible.

Getting there is easy if you're coming by bus: the Nicander Road stop, served by the 86 and 75, is a minute's walk away. Tickets are £6, which covers the glazing, the firing, and your space at the table. The pottery piece itself is something you buy on the day, with prices ranging from £6 to £40 depending on what you pick. Just a heads-up that tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled, and the organiser takes photos and videos during the session to post on social media.
