A black-tie night of white-collar boxing with students from across Liverpool's universities, billed as the biggest student event of the year.
Fight Night Liverpool returns to the Liverpool Olympia on Thursday 26 November, bringing white-collar boxing back to the city for another student-led night. It's billed as the biggest and most exciting student event of the year, and the format is straightforward: white-collar boxing, with student participants stepping into the ring. The fighters are BNOCs — Boxing Nuts of the Campus — drawn from universities across the city, so you'll likely see faces from a few different campuses represented on the same card.
It's not a casual night out, either. The dress code is black tie, and entry is restricted to over-18s, which sets a bit of a different tone from your usual student night. The tickets are reported to be in high demand, so if you're planning on going, it's worth sorting yours sooner rather than later. The Olympia is on West Derby Road, L6 9BY, and the whole thing runs from 5:30pm to 10:30pm, with last entry at 7pm — so don't leave it too late if you want to catch the early bouts.

Tickets range from £5 to £38.50, depending on where you're sitting, and the night is strictly for the over-18s. With the black-tie dress code and the student line-up, it's a bit of a crossover — part sporting event, part dressy night out. If you've got friends at any of the city's universities, this is the one where they'll be the ones in the ring.
