After-hours evening of music, drinks and art with a live performance by Saheli, a South Asian queer band, at FACT Liverpool.
Saheli are playing FACT Liverpool on Thursday 19 November, as part of the venue's FACT Lates series. It's an evening of music, drinks and art that opens the galleries after hours, so you can see the exhibitions when they're closed to the general public.
Saheli is a South Asian queer band, collective and sonic entity, and they sit at the centre of Seema Mattu's exhibition LOCAL SUPERSTAR II. The performance brings the group's members together for a one-off show, and the night is rounded off with a complimentary drink and a DJ on hand. The line-up for the set is Lagnajita Mukhopadhyay, MANI JNX, Ushara Dilrukshan and Zahrah Hutton.
At the time, FACT is showing three exhibitions. Alongside LOCAL SUPERSTAR II is Rae-Yen Song's ā¢~TUA~ā¢ 大ē¼ ā¢~MAK~⢠and BRB by Livi Wilmore, Mrs Luva-Luva and Ellie Hoskins, which reimagine familiar experiences of family, music and the internet into richly imagined worlds. You'll have access to all three throughout the evening.
