DVOTION Halloween: Freak Frequency

DVOTION bring their Halloween special, Freak Frequency, to Club 051 on Friday 30 October. It's a six-hour run of house, tech and garage, with the music going from 10pm straight through to 4am.

DVOTION started in the warehouse scene around Leeds, and they describe what they've built as more than just a series of nights. They talk about it as a movement, with the act standing as the heartbeat of the underground, driven by raw energy, heavy lineups and a crowd that brings the fire every time. This Halloween edition is organised by Loosedays Liverpool, and the six-hour window means there's plenty of room to settle in rather than rushing through a single set.

On the music, you're looking at house, tech and garage, so it's a night that sits comfortably across a few different dancefloor styles rather than sticking to one. The 10pm to 4am timing gives it a proper club feel, with the early hours left for the house and garage to breathe before the tech takes over as the night stretches out. If you're coming in early, you've got the whole run ahead of you; if you're a late arrival, there's still plenty of room to get stuck in.

Club 051 is in the Ofiveone Complex at 1 Mount Pleasant, L3 5SX. Tickets range from £4.50 to £19.25, and it's an 18+ night, so keep your ID on you — a student ID may be asked for on entry. The music runs from 10pm to 4am.
