Dia De Los Muertos themed salsa night with a salsa class, dance social and party at Turtle Bay Liverpool.
Turtle Bay Liverpool on Hanover Street is hosting a Dia De Los Muertos salsa night on Thursday 29 October, put on by A Journey Within Yourself. It's a full evening that starts with a salsa class from 8:00 to 9:00 pm, followed by a dance social and party that runs until midnight. If you're new to it, the class is a good way to get your bearings before the social kicks in.
While salsa is the main feature, the music doesn't stop there. The night pulls in bachata, kizomba, merengue and reggaeton, so it's more of a Latin dance mix than a one-style affair. If you've got a preference for one over the others, you'll likely find it on the playlist across the evening. The social side of things is where the dancing really takes over, with the party running for three hours after the class wraps up.
There are a few extras on the night too. Tarot readings are available for £2, and cocktails are £5. Between the class and the dance floor, you can fit in a reading or a drink without missing a beat. It's the kind of night that works whether you come for the lesson and stay for the party, or just turn up later for the social.
