Over-18s night of Amapiano, Gqom, Afro Deep House and House at the independent club 24 Kitchen Street.
Chop.Life takes over 24 Kitchen Street on Saturday 24 October, from 10pm until 4am. It's a night built around the sounds moving through the African diaspora, with Amapiano, Gqom, Afro Deep House and House at its core. If you're not familiar with those, Amapiano is the South African house style that's gone global over the last few years, and Gqom is its rawer, more stripped-back cousin from Durban. Both sit alongside the deeper house and the more straightforward house that the night keeps in rotation.
The venue is 24 Kitchen Street, an independent club in Liverpool's creative district. It's known for celebrating underground artists and programming creative events across different forms and genres, booking both local and international acts. That fits the brief here: a night that looks to the African diaspora for its sound and brings it to a room that usually keeps its focus on the underground.

It's an over-18s night, so you'll need photo ID at the door. Last entry is midnight, which is worth keeping in mind if you're planning a late start. The music runs until 4am, so there's plenty of room to settle in after you've arrived.
