Bongo's Bingo - Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun

Bongo's Bingo is back at CONTENT in the Cains Brewery Village for a run of Halloween specials, starting Friday 23 October. If you've never been, it's not your nan's Tuesday night bingo. Jonny Bongo co-founded the night in 2015 and has spent the years since turning the game into a full-on night out: huge singalongs, nostalgic anthems, rave rounds, dance-offs, audience participation and prizes that don't always follow the usual rules. It's a Liverpool-born company, and the Time Out Award it picked up in Dubai in 2018 for 'Most Original Night Out' gives you a fair idea of the energy they're aiming for.

The Halloween editions lean into the season with a few extra surprises thrown in. Fancy dress is a big part of it, and the crowd usually goes all out — killer clowns, demons, and more creatively terrifying costumes. Jonny Bongo has called Halloween one of the promotion's favourite themes, and the shows are built around that same relentless bingo energy mixed with a bit of spine-tingling terror.

Since it's a run rather than a one-off, you've got a few dates to choose from. There's Friday 23 October, then Saturday 24 October with both a matinee and an evening show, Friday 30 October, and finally Saturday 31 October as a matinee. It's all at CONTENT, Cains Brewery Village, Stanhope Street, L8 5XJ, so you can pick the slot that works best for you.
