Atomic22 - Halloween

Atomic Pro Wrestling are back at Content in Cain's Brewery Village on Wednesday 28 October, with their Halloween show. It's the promotion's 22nd event, and it's one of the biggest nights of their year.

Atomic describe themselves as Liverpool's DIY wrestling promotion, and that's a fair summary of what they do. They're a showcase for local and North West talent, with a mix of established names and up-and-coming wrestlers on the same card. This particular night is built around a Halloween Rumble, with as many spooky surprises as they can cram in. If you've never seen a rumble before, it's a match where wrestlers enter at intervals rather than all at once, and the last person standing wins. It's a chaotic format that usually suits a Halloween theme.

If you're not already familiar with them, you can find their past shows on their YouTube channel. It's a good way to get a feel for the style and the wrestlers they work with before you head down. The show itself is at Content, part of Cain's Brewery Village on Stanhope Street in L8.

Doors open at 5pm, and the first bell is at 7pm, so there's a two-hour gap before the live action starts. Atomic encourage fans to arrive early and watch the previous show on screens in the bar area while you wait. The whole thing should be wrapped up by 10pm at the latest. Tickets start from £15, and the full range runs from £15 to £23.
