A Halloween night of jungle, drum and bass and breaks with Samurai Breaks, Napes, Settle Down and MYOHMY at Meraki.
Samurai Breaks, Napes and Settle Down are taking over Meraki on Saturday 31 October, with MYOHMY added to the bill. It's billed as 'A Warped Halloween', and the organisers are encouraging costumes for the night.
The music sits firmly in the bass-heavy end of things. Jungle, breaks and footwork are the three sounds they're working with, and the whole night leans heavily on drum and bass. It's a line-up built around the breakbeat, so you can expect the faster, syncopated side of the dancefloor rather than a steady four-to-the-floor beat. The organisers describe the billing as 'scarily stacked', and with four names across the night, there's plenty of ground to cover.

Meraki is on Dickson Street in the city centre, so it's easy enough to get to. The night runs from 22:00 through to 04:00, taking you well past midnight and into the early hours, and since it's Halloween, the costume suggestion is part of the evening's setup. Tickets start from £24.30.
