Club night marking the seventh birthday of 54 Liverpool with a set by Hannah Wants.
Hannah Wants is headlining 54 Liverpool on Saturday 28 November, as the club marks its 7th birthday. It's a late one, starting at 11pm, so it's more of a proper night out than a quick drop-in.
If you're not already familiar with her, Hannah Wants is best known for her productions, remixes and sets for some of the biggest names in house and dance. She's worked with Defected, Toolroom, Elrow, Mixmag and Ministry Of Sound, so her sound sits right in that house territory—the kind of thing that works just as well on a dancefloor as it does on a record. This is a club night, not a concert, so the whole evening is built around her set.
It's a birthday celebration for the venue, too, which has been running for seven years now. That's a fair stretch for a club in the city, and having a name like Hannah Wants on the bill for the occasion puts it in perspective. If you've spent any time in the house scene, you'll recognise the labels she's linked to—Defected and Toolroom are two of the biggest in the business, and Elrow is known for the more theatrical side of things. Between those and the sets she's done for Mixmag and Ministry Of Sound, there's a good sense of where she comes from.
