69A is an antique and vintage shop in Liverpool city centre, at 75 Renshaw Street, L1 2SJ, not far from Liverpool ONE. It has been trading since 1976 and works on what it describes as a 'pile it high and find it yourself' system, so you search through the stock yourself. It is not an online shop, so you need to visit in person. If you spot something you like, items can be reserved so you can come back and view them.

The range is wide. Clothing, vinyl, porcelain, ceramics, 19th-century objects and 1980s telephones all feature among the stock. The listings give a sense of how varied it is. A Medieval Oak Panel from the Palace of Westminster, dating from the 11th century, is available with the price on request, while a Large Marble Burmese Reclining Buddha from the 19th century is priced at £1450. Smaller pieces are on offer too: a Wall Mounted Factory First Aid Kit from around 1959 is £115, and a Kangxi Blue & White Chinese Porcelain Stem Wine Cup, dating from around 1690 to 1710, is among the older items listed.
The shop holds a 4.7 out of 5 rating from 201 Google reviews. Customers praise the owner, Trevor, for his knowledge, and one review describes him as having a great deal of knowledge of history. They also mention the special atmosphere inside. One visitor recalled finding Beatles figurines for £125 and an unopened bottle of 1977 Jubilee beer for £6.50. Craig Revel Horwood, Steven Gerrard and Sir Ken Dodd have also been among its visitors.
The shop is open today, Wednesday, from 1:00 to 6:00 pm, and its hours are the same every day of the week, Sunday to Saturday. It is in the city centre, close to Liverpool ONE, which is a useful reference point when you look for it.
