Wreath Making Workshop

Temple Newsam Home Farm is running a willow wreath making workshop in The Joiner's Shop on Wednesday 25 November, from 1:00pm to 2:30pm. It's an adults-only session, ages 18 and up, and you'll spend the ninety minutes working with natural materials to put together your own handcrafted willow wreath. All the tools and materials are provided, so you just need to turn up. When the session finishes, you take your wreath home with you.

It's part of the Christmas at Temple Newsam programme, which is new for 2026. The wreath workshop sits alongside The Elf Academy, where 'mini elves' are trained in the run-up to Christmas, as well as other workshops, guided tours and a Christmas Tree Trail that winds around the estate. If you're not free on the 25th, there are more dates in the series on 2, 9 and 16 December, all running 1:00pm to 2:30pm.

The session is described as a mindful hour and a half rooted in traditional rural skills, with participants gathering around a cosy fire in the Joiner's Shop. It's an adults-only one, so it's more of a quiet afternoon out than a family day. The Joiner's Shop is part of Temple Newsam Home Farm in Leeds, LS15 0AE, run by Leeds Museums & Galleries.

Booking is essential, and it costs £30 per person. Since it's part of a series, you've got a few dates to choose from if the 25th doesn't work for you.
