Pre-Christmas wine tasting of five Sardinian wines with artisan cheeses, a private viewing of the 'Small Wonders' exhibition and talks from two sculptors.
The Sculpture Gallery hosts Wine and Sculpture: Meet the Artists on Thursday 3 December, part of Terra Sarda Wines' 'Wine Storytelling' series. It's a pre-Christmas tasting that brings together Sardinian wine, artisan cheese and a private viewing of the gallery's Small Wonders exhibition.
The tasting takes in Sardinia through five limited-vintage Sardinian wines, each paired with one of five artisan cheeses from Leeds cheesemonger Emmanuelle Metz. There are traditional Sardinian breads, with a gluten-free option, and nibbles to go with them. While the wines are poured, two of the exhibition's sculptors talk through their work and their journey, and the island is explored through the glasses. The evening starts with a private viewing of the gallery, and there's a guest discount on any bottle you buy.
Small Wonders is the gallery's pre-Christmas exhibition, showing more than 100 works, each no larger than 20x10x10cm. The gallery itself is in the Corn Exchange, and the series has drawn rave reviews since it began. If you're looking for something for a group, they also do private and corporate bespoke tastings for up to 15 people.
