Singer-songwriter and guitarist Wendy Eisenberg performs live at The Attic, Brudenell Social Club.
Wendy Eisenberg plays The Attic at Brudenell Social Club on Saturday 7 November, starting at 19:30. They're a singer-songwriter, improviser and guitarist who's spent the last decade working across a few different musical worlds, and this is a solo show.
If you've come across their records, you'll know the range. The 2020 album Auto sits on one end, and the 2024 free-jazz sprawler Viewfinder on the other, with art-rock, jazz, free improv and folk filling the space between. For the last five years, Eisenberg has been experimenting in different bands and genres, and they've described a recent period of self-confrontation as something like a personal exorcism. Out of that, they've arrived at a new set of poetic, formally daring folk songs, which they describe as their most certain vision yet.
