Futuresound night headlined by Venus Grrrls with support from labyrinthine oceans at Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen.
Venus Grrrls headline a Futuresound night at Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen on Saturday 7 November, with labyrinthine oceans on the bill. It's a double bill put on by Futuresound, the Leeds-based promoter, so you've got two acts in one evening rather than just one.
Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen is a music, art, film and food venue spread over three floors on Cross Belgrave Street, topped with a roof terrace. The building dates back to the 1930s, when it stood as a nursery school for the children of working families in Leeds, and it opened as Belgrave in 2013 after years of neglect. The performance space sits on the first floor with its own bar, PA and lighting, and holds 350 standing or 100 seated. Beyond gigs the venue programmes comedy, film and art exhibitions, and its two kitchens serve Dough Boys pizza by the slice and Patty's burgers.

It's a Check 25 venue, and the only ID it accepts is a UK driving licence or a passport, so keep that in mind if you're heading down. Doors for evening events are usually at 7.30pm, and the music follows on from there. If you're planning to eat before or after, the pizza and burgers are on hand across the different floors.
