Tribute shows by Ultimate Green Day and Ultimate Blink-182 at the Leeds Irish Centre, followed by a DJ afterparty.
Ultimate Green Day and Ultimate Blink-182 are playing the Leeds Irish Centre on Saturday 28 November, a double-bill of tribute sets that brings both bands to the same stage on one night. The evening runs from 7pm till 1am, with the two tribute acts taking the lead and a DJ set by Mutant Movement following on to keep the night going until the early hours.
It's a return to the venue for Ultimate Green Day, who are back at the Irish Centre as part of the Punk@50 Tour. The night comes on the heels of a sold-out show at Brudenell Social Club, so it's a continuation of that same run. They're sharing the bill with Ultimate Blink-182, and the two sets together cover the ground of two of the biggest names in pop-punk, played back-to-back.
The venue itself is a working social club on York Road, LS9 9NT, with tables and chairs throughout and club alcohol prices at the bar. It's not a standard music venue, so you'll find plenty of space to sit and a drink in hand between the sets. The afterparty runs until 1am, so the music doesn't stop once the bands have finished.
