Halloween karaoke competition held in The Harmonic Room upstairs at The Cardigan Arms in Burley, Leeds.
The X Factor Halloween Karaoke Competition is at The Cardigan Arms on Friday 30 October, the Friday before Halloween. It's a karaoke night run as a competition, so you'll be singing for a prize rather than just for the room. The whole thing takes place in the Harmonic Room upstairs, which keeps the singing separate from the main bar downstairs.
If you're not familiar with the venue, The Cardigan Arms is a Grade II listed Victorian pub on Kirkstall Road in Burley, built in the 1890s and named after the Earl of Cardigan, who owned much of the land around Burley and Headingley. It's run by Kirkstall Brewery, and CAMRA rates the interior as being of outstanding national historic importance, with ornate original features, a central bar and vaults. There are seventeen beer lines on, and the kitchen serves bar snacks, burgers, hot dogs, flatbreads and loaded fries, with roasts on Sundays. It's dog friendly and children are allowed until 9pm, so it's as much a proper local as it is a music venue.

Since this is a Halloween special, it's a good excuse to turn up in costume, and the competition format means you'll be singing in front of a crowd rather than just taking a turn. The Harmonic Room is the dedicated space upstairs, so the singing stays there while the rest of the pub carries on as usual. It's on Friday 30 October, so it's a good way to kick off the Halloween weekend. The Cardigan Arms is at 364 Kirkstall Road, Burley, Leeds LS4 2HQ.
