The Wonder Stuff - Inspiral Carpets Official After Party

Inspiral Carpets are back at O2 Academy Leeds on Friday 16 October, this time for their official after party. It's the follow-on to their main gig at the same venue, so if you're already in town for the show, this is the one that keeps the night going rather than heading home when the house lights come up.

For those who know the band, the setup is pretty straightforward. The Inspiral Carpets are a Manchester outfit that first made their mark in the late eighties, and they've spent the years since touring and playing the songs they're known for. This is an official after party, which puts it in a different bracket from a standard support slot or a standalone club night — it's the band themselves coming back out for another round after the main event has finished.

It's all happening at O2 Academy Leeds, 55 Cookridge Street, LS2 3AW. If you've been to the venue before, you know it's right in the city centre, easy enough to get to from the station or the bus stops. Doors open at 23:00, which is late enough that it really does function as an after party — you've got the main gig behind you, and this picks up where that left off. It's a late one, so keep that in mind if you're planning your night around it.

So, if you're heading to Leeds for the Inspiral Carpets gig and you're not ready to call it a night when the main show wraps up, this is where the party continues. Doors at 23:00 at O2 Academy Leeds on Friday 16 October.
