The Soul Legends Show

William Hicks is bringing The Soul Legends Show to Bibis Italianissimo Restaurant & Cocktail Bar on Sunday 13 December. It's a Bibis presentation, and Hicks will be performing with his live band, so it's a full band set rather than a solo turn.

If you're not familiar with the title, it tells you exactly what's on the table. The show is built around the soul classics that have shaped the genre, and Hicks and his band will be working through them live. It's a tribute to the soul records that have stood the test of time, and having a full band behind him means the sound will be full and live, not just a singer over a backing track.

Bibis is an Italian restaurant and cocktail bar in the city centre, so this is a daytime and afternoon affair rather than a late-night gig. It runs from 12:30 to 21:30, which is a long stretch that takes you from lunch right through to the early evening. It's the kind of thing you can build a whole Sunday around — a meal and some soul music in the middle of the day, with plenty of time to head home before the Monday morning rush kicks in.

Tickets are £22.00, and the whole thing takes place at Bibis Italianissimo Restaurant & Cocktail Bar, Criterion Place, Leeds LS1 4AG, on Sunday 13 December, 12:30 to 21:30.
