Live gig by The Sophie Green Band, a UK blues, rock and soul band fronted by singer Sophie Green, at The Domino Club.
The Sophie Green Band play The Domino Club on Thursday 19 November, with the night organised by the club itself. It's a fusion of blues, rock and soul that draws on the raw energy of 1970s blues-rock and the intensity of soulful vocals, and the band lists Led Zeppelin, Meatloaf and Aretha Franklin as influences. That's a broad stretch of ground to cover in one set — the heavy riffs of Zeppelin, the theatrical scale of Meatloaf and the powerhouse soul of Aretha — and the sound sits right in the middle of them.
The band brings together musicians from across the UK, fronted by singer Sophie Green, who also performs alongside guitarist Alex Oldknow. The Leeds following they've built has pushed advance tickets to sell out on at least one occasion, with remaining entry available on the door. It's a night that's worked well for them here before.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, with live music starting from 7 PM. The main set is listed for 10 PM, so there's plenty of time to get settled before the band takes the stage. You'll find The Domino Club at Unit 7 Grand Arcade, Leeds LS1 6PG, right in the city centre.
