Live gig with The Maritime County, Rose Villas and Fahren at The Lending Room, the upstairs room at The Library pub on Woodhouse Lane.
The Maritime County headline The Lending Room on Friday 23 October, with Rose Villas and Fahren supporting. It's a three-act bill in one of the city's smaller rooms, and the whole thing takes place upstairs at The Library pub on Woodhouse Lane.
If you've never been, The Lending Room is the upstairs space at The Library, a pub on the edge of Hyde Park, right next to the main University of Leeds campus. The building has had a few lives before it became a music venue: it was a fire station and then a library. It runs its own sound system and sound engineers, and the programming goes from local artists to international touring acts, with local names taking support slots alongside headliners as well as headlining shows of their own. The capacity is 180, so it's a fairly tight room.
On the night, The Maritime County take the top spot, with Rose Villas and Fahren opening the bill. The Lending Room's usual mix of local and touring acts is on display here, with three names sharing the stage over the course of the evening. It's a Friday night, so the pub downstairs will be open around it.
