Weekly Tuesday club night at Sela Bar run by student promoters, with fourth Tuesdays hosted by Caitlin Hirst of Leeds Arts University.
The Joint returns to Sela Bar on Tuesday 27 October, with this particular night run by Caitlin Hirst of Leeds Arts University. If you've never come across it, The Joint is a weekly night at Sela Bar run entirely by paid student promoters who build their own line-ups from the local scene, so every Tuesday brings a different set of local acts. Fourth Tuesdays are Hirst's turn to call the shots, and this is the one she's putting together.
Sela Bar itself is an intimate basement jazz and funk bar on New Briggate, with a capacity of 80 to 100, so it's the kind of space where you're close to the stage and the room fills up quickly. The night usually runs from around 7pm to 10.30pm, and it's billed as NOTAFLOF: no one turned away for lack of funds.

Doors open at 19:00 and the music starts at 20:00. Tickets are £5.00 general admission online, or pay what you feel on the door, so you can just turn up and give what you can. It's a Tuesday night in the city centre, and since the line-up is built from the local scene, it's a good chance to catch some Leeds acts you might not have heard yet.
