Sunday Eucharist service at Leeds Minster, the Civic Church of Leeds, with free admission and donations welcome.
The Eucharist is on at Leeds Minster this Sunday, 25 October, starting at 10.30am. It's the main Sunday service, and it's the one that uses the updated language of the Church of England's Common Worship rather than the older Book of Common Prayer. If you've been before, you'll know the drill, but if you're new to it, it's a good place to start.
Leeds Minster is the Civic Church of Leeds, a Christian community right in the heart of the city. Prayer and worship have been offered from this site for over fourteen hundred years, and the building itself is a Victorian neo-gothic church. It's also a centre of musical excellence, with organ recitals and the choir singing at Choral Evensong; the choir recently released a new CD of Lloyd Webber's The Saviour. Some of the other services follow the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer published in 1662, while this main Sunday service uses the updated Common Worship.
