Over-18s live music quiz hosted by Jacob Savage with a full band, testing listening skills with familiar pop songs played in unexpected ways.
The Big Fat Domino Live Music Quiz takes over The Domino Club on Tuesday 20 October, with doors opening at 6:00pm and the quiz kicking off at 7:00pm. It's hosted by Jacob Savage, who'll be backed by a full band of players throughout the night.
If you've never been, the quiz isn't about who can name the most B-sides from a 70s prog band. It's a test of listening skills, and it works by playing familiar pop songs in ways you've never heard them before. You might get a Kanye West track reimagined in the style of Sergei Rachmaninoff, rock songs sung with every other word missing, or David Bowie's Life On Mars played blindfolded. There's also a kazoo round. It's more about paying attention than having a music encyclopaedia for a brain, so you don't need to be a walking trivia machine to get stuck in.
The venue is The Domino Club, tucked into the basement of a Grade II listed building on Grand Arcade in the heart of Leeds. It's a standing room spot with a cocktail bar and a handful of tables you can book in advance. Most of the week it's dedicated to funk, soul, blues and jazz, with a jazz jam on the first Sunday of each month, and this quiz is one of the special Tuesday nights that break the usual run.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Leeds and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Tickets are £5 per person, sold in teams of up to four, so you'll want to get your group sorted before you book. It's over 18s only. The top prize is an exclusive Domino — the first one ever issued — which gets you and a mate a queue jump, free entry on non-ticket-only nights, and a welcome cocktail every visit throughout 2026.
