Speed Dating - Ages 40-55

Fastlove are running a speed dating night for singles aged 40-55 at Lost & Found on Wednesday 28 October, from 7:30pm to 10:30pm. It's aimed at professionals and graduates in that age bracket, and the whole thing is pitched as an in-person alternative to swiping on dating apps: short, one-on-one conversations with other singles in the same age group, rather than scrolling through profiles on a screen.

The format is straightforward. You move from one person to the next, chatting for a few minutes each, so you get a proper feel for someone before moving on. Fastlove describe it as the North's biggest and busiest singles events organiser, and the session runs for up to three hours, which can work out to as many as 25 dates in a single night. It's a fair few people to meet in one go, so it's worth coming with a bit of energy.

Lost & Found on Greek Street is a well-known Leeds spot, and the organisers describe its stylish decor and cosy atmosphere as the backdrop for the mingling. It's a central location, so it's easy enough to get to and from. The night runs from 7:30pm, and last entry is 7:45pm, so you'll want to be there on time to make the most of the full session.
