Community-led conversation series where creative professionals share their personal journeys and insights into working in the creative industries.
Sit With Tee Vol. 6 is at Hope House on Thursday 29 October, with Tee Hogan taking the lead. It's the sixth edition of the series, which runs as a community-led conversation rather than a standard gig or a panel talk. The format is built around storytelling and audience discussion, with Hogan sharing his own journey and the realities of working in the creative industries.
That's the core of what Sit With Tee does: it brings together artists, musicians, filmmakers, photographers and cultural changemakers to talk about their personal paths, the challenges they've run into and what they've learned about building a creative life. The idea is to get past the polished version of things and open up about the highs, the lows and the day-to-day of working in the arts, with the conversation itself as the main event. The audience gets to be part of that, too, with discussion woven into the evening rather than just a Q&A at the end.
After the conversation, the night doesn't just pack up. Guests are invited to stay for networking and to meet other creatives from across Leeds' creative community, so it's as much about the people in the room as it is about the person on stage. If you're working in the arts or just interested in how other people do it, that's where the evening really pays off.
