Reggae and soundsystem night at Rock n Roll Circus with Anatta Soundsystem, Hanamercy, Militant Youth and others.
Rooms Full A Culture takes over Rock n Roll Circus on Saturday 31 October, a reggae and soundsystem night that brings together a whole line-up of selectors and sound systems rather than a single act. It's a proper soundsystem affair, so the focus is on the decks and the speakers rather than a band on stage.
Anatta Soundsystem leads the bill, and they're joined by a long list of names: Hanamercy, Militant Youth, Anatta, Padawan, Tidal Sound, and Veteran Sound. With that many selectors on the bill, the night is built around the soundsystem culture itself — the art of the select, the heavy bass, and the way different soundsystem crews trade off throughout the evening. It's a broad spread of names to work through, so the music should shift and evolve as the night goes on.

Rock n Roll Circus is in the city centre at LS1 2PL, so it's easy enough to get to. If you're into reggae and the soundsystem side of things, this is exactly the kind of night that works best when you're there in person, with the bass coming through the floor. It's on Saturday 31 October, and the whole line-up — Rooms Full A Culture, Anatta Soundsystem, Hanamercy, Militant Youth, Anatta, Padawan, Tidal Sound, and Veteran Sound — will be playing across the night.
