A hands-on workshop led by an expert florist to create a pumpkin and floral arrangement for home display, perfect for getting into the Halloween mood.
The Arium is hosting a pumpkin floral arrangement workshop on Saturday 17 October, from 12:30 to 15:30. An expert florist leads the session, guiding you through making a pumpkin and floral arrangement to take home and display — pitched as a good way to get into the Halloween mood. The ticket covers all your materials, equipment and guidance, and you'll get a hot drink and a sweet treat from the café too.
It's worth knowing where you're heading. The Arium is housed in a 90,000 square metre glass house and is the biggest plant nursery in Leeds, growing all its plants on-site across four temperature-controlled growing zones. The staff there have over 300 years of horticultural experience between them, so you're in safe hands. The venue is wheelchair accessible, with an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities on hand.
If you're bringing the family, there's plenty to do around the workshop. The Arium Cafe serves locally sourced food and drink, and there's a play area for children with climbing frames, slides, an excavator and a sand-pit. There's also the Arium Shop, which sells plant and gardening supplies if you fancy picking up a few things while you're there.
