Live show by Nottingham band Pillow Fort, mixing Midwest emo, emo and pop punk, with We Are The Weirdos, at Santiago Bar.
Pillow Fort are playing Santiago Bar on Tuesday 3 November, with We Are The Weirdos on the bill too. It's a mid-week one, so if you're usually out on the weekends, this is one of those nights that asks you to shift your plans forward a bit.
Pillow Fort come from Nottingham, and they describe their sound as sitting across Midwest Emo, Emo and Pop Punk. If you're not entirely sure where those overlap, it's a good place to start: the clean, twinkly guitar work of the Midwest scene, the more direct emotional weight of emo, and the faster, punchier side of pop punk. It's a sound that pulls from a few different corners of the same family, so it should feel familiar even if you've never heard them before.
They're the main draw of the night, and We Are The Weirdos share the bill, so you'll get two bands for the price of one. It's a straightforward double bill, with the Nottingham outfit taking the lead.
