Peer-led harm reduction drop-in for trans people self-medicating hormones at Wharf Chambers.
Pigeon Drop in is back at Wharf Chambers on Sunday 25 October, with the session starting at 15:00. It's a peer-led harm reduction service for trans people who are self-medicating hormones, and the drop-in format means you can pop in for as long or as little as you need.
If you're not familiar with how it works, the whole thing is run by peers — people who've been there and know the ground you're walking. The focus is harm reduction, which is just a way of saying the priority is keeping you as safe as possible while you're managing your own hormones. It's a space to get practical advice, ask the questions you might be hesitant to bring up elsewhere, and hear from others who've done the same thing.
Because it's a drop-in, there's no formal programme to follow. You don't have to stay for the whole afternoon, and you don't have to commit to anything. You can just turn up, have a chat, and head off when you've had enough. It's designed to be low-pressure, so it works whether you've got a specific question you're stuck on or you just want to be around people who get it.
