Paint-and-sip session by Paintvine with a spooky Starry Night theme, suitable for beginners, with all painting materials provided.
Paintvine are bringing a paint-and-sip session to The Northern Market on Sunday 25 October, from 2 pm to 4 pm. The theme is a spooky twist on Starry Night, so it's a Van Gogh-inspired afternoon with a Halloween edge to it. If you've never done anything like this before, that's fine — it's set up for complete beginners, and you don't need any previous painting experience to get stuck in.
Paintvine run these across the UK, with sessions in more than 20 cities and over 80,000 guests having come along so far. The format is artist-led, and the whole thing is designed to be social, so it's as much about the company as it is about the painting. You'll get step-by-step instruction throughout, and they provide all the materials you'll need: acrylic paints, brushes, an apron to keep things tidy, and a stretched canvas to work on. They also take photos during the session, so you'll have a record of how your piece came together.

When the two hours are up, you take your finished artwork home with you. The setup and clean-up are all handled on their end, so you just turn up and paint. One thing to keep in mind: drinks aren't included in the ticket price, but you can buy them from the venue bar, which fits the 'sip' part of the paint-and-sip. The session runs from 2 pm to 4 pm on Sunday 25 October at The Northern Market, 12 Great George Street, Leeds LS1 3ED.
