Launch event of the Neon Night Run, a 5k that combines running with a rave and social night out at BOX Leeds.
Neon Night Run is launching in Leeds on Friday 13 November, with the launch event taking place at BOX Leeds. It's a high-energy 5k that pairs running with a rave and a social night out, set to neon lights and live music. The run itself is the first half of the evening, and once you've crossed the finish line, you head into BOX for the social part: food, drinks and live music. It's pitched as a way to start the weekend, and the whole thing runs for around three hours.
If you're not used to the idea, it's less of a traditional race and more of a night out that happens to start with a run. The neon lights and live music carry through from the course into the venue, so the rave atmosphere doesn't stop when you finish. The social side — the food, drinks and music inside BOX — is where you spend the rest of the evening after the 5k is done.
