The stage musical adaptation of the 1993 film, on its first major UK and Ireland tour, comes to the Leeds Grand Theatre.
Mrs Doubtfire comes to Leeds Grand Theatre from 10 to 29 November, the West End comedy musical based on the 1993 film. If you remember the movie, you'll know the story: Daniel is a recently divorced father who loses custody of his children and invents an alter ego, the elderly Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire, just to stay in their lives. As the character takes on a life of its own, Mrs Doubtfire ends up teaching Daniel more than he bargained for about how to be a father. It's a family comedy at its heart, and it's recommended for ages six and over.
This is a proper stage production, not just a lift of the movie. It's directed by Jerry Zaks, with a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell, music and lyrics by Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick, and choreography by Lorin Latarro. It arrives fresh from its Broadway and West End debuts, and it's currently on its first major UK and Ireland tour, which has been on the road since August 2026. Critics have called it 'genuinely funny' and a 'surefire hit'.
