Masterpiece: The Temptations Tribute

Masterpiece are bringing their tribute to The Temptations to Bibis Italianissimo Restaurant & Cocktail Bar in Leeds on Friday 18 December, and they're staying for a second night on Saturday 19 December. It's a two-night run, so you've got a couple of dates to choose from if one doesn't suit.

Masterpiece is a four-piece tribute act, and they've built their name on two things that defined the original group: slick choreography and those tight, distinctive harmonies. The whole show is a musical homage to The Temptations, one of the most iconic vocal groups in the history of American R&B, soul, funk, doo-wop and rock 'n' roll, and the architects of the Detroit sound. If you've spent any time with the original records, you'll know exactly the kind of sound they're working from — those layered vocals and the choreographed moves that went with them.

The show is at Bibis Italianissimo, a restaurant and cocktail bar in the city centre at Criterion Place, LS1 4AG. It's a venue that does food and drinks as well as music, so it's the kind of night where you can eat and drink before the band takes the stage. And the music doesn't stop when they finish: a DJ keeps the dance floor going until midnight, so there's plenty of room to keep moving after the set wraps up.
