Free three-hour practical workshop for staff and managers to learn strategies for handling conflict at work and build better teams.
Connect In The North are running a workshop on Managing Conflict at Work on Tuesday 20 October, from 1 pm to 4 pm at their space in the Sugar Mill. It's a three-hour session aimed at direct staff and managers, and it sits within their person-centred thinking training collection for the autumn.
The whole thing is practical rather than theoretical. You'll work through real conflict scenarios and figure out your own conflict management style, and there's time to actually practise mediation techniques and tools. It's designed to help you handle different kinds of friction at work, whether that's within your own team, between colleagues, or with people outside the team or the organisation entirely. The session also draws on the five dysfunctions of a team to look at how to build better teams from the ground up.
