Weekly Friday fiesta with Reggaeton, Latin and Baile Funk downstairs and RnB, Hip Hop and Amapiano upstairs, with live dancers and free carnival props.
Bella Gente is back at The Backroom on Friday 23 October, another edition of the Friday Fiesta that's been running in Leeds since 2013. It's a weekly thing, and they describe it as the city's biggest fiesta, with thousands of people coming through every week. The night runs in association with Voodoo Events and spreads across two floors plus a smoking terrace, with four DJs and live dancers on the go throughout. There are free carnival props to grab, too.
The music is split by floor, so you can switch between them as you feel it. Downstairs is Reggaeton, Latin and Baile Funk, with DJs Diogo Vaz and Boris Paolo on the decks. Upstairs, Ralph Hackett and DJ FLEX take over with RnB, Hip Hop, Garage, Amapiano and Afrobeats. Between the two, you've got a fair bit of ground covered, and the dancers keep things moving on both levels.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Leeds and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's a long one, running from 11pm until 6am, so there's plenty of room to drift between the floors and the terrace. If you're heading down later, just keep in mind that last entry is at 1am. Tickets are £5 to £8, with the first release at £4, second at £6 and third at £7. Group, birthday and social bookings are handled via WhatsApp, so if you're bringing a crowd, that's the way to sort it. The Backroom is at 50a Call Lane, LS1 6DT.
