Weekly Friday Fiesta night with four DJs, live dancers and free carnival props at The Backroom, open until 6am.
Bella Gente is back at The Backroom on Friday 23 October, the latest edition of Leeds' weekly Friday Fiesta. It's a night that's been running since 2013, and it's built its name on being one of the city's biggest Friday nights, drawing more than 1,000 people most weeks. The whole thing runs across two floors, so you've got a couple of different rooms to move between throughout the night.
Downstairs, DJs Diogo Vaz and Boris Paolo take charge of the Reggaeton, Latin, and Baile Funk. Upstairs, Ralph Hackett and DJ FLEX handle the RnB, HipHop, and House. With the two floors running side by side, you can switch between the Latin sounds and the RnB and House whenever you fancy, rather than being tied to one room. The dancefloor isn't just the DJs, either: there are live dancers in the room and free carnival props to get stuck into, and a smoking terrace for when you need a bit of air in the early hours.
It's run in association with Voodoo Events, and because it's a weekly thing, it's a familiar fixture on the Leeds calendar rather than a one-off. If you're planning a group booking, a birthday, or a social, they handle those through WhatsApp, so it's easy to get a few people together and sort it in advance.
