Friday and Saturday comedy cabaret night at Lost & Found Leeds Club, with pre-show drinks and a prosecco prize draw in the interval.
Leeds Comedy Club is back at Revolucion De Cuba on Friday 30 October, part of their regular run of comedy nights in the city. The show starts at 7:30pm, and if you're the type who likes to get in early, there are pre-show drinks from 6:30pm.
The night is run by the team behind the English, Irish and Scottish Comedian of the Year competitions. They've got a fair bit of history in the business: they claim to have given Lee Nelson his first gig, to have offered the first paid work to Kevin Bridges and Alan Carr, and to have first headlined John Bishop and Lost Voice Guy after their BGT wins. It's that kind of pedigree that usually means the room is well-looked-after, with a focus on giving new names a proper platform alongside the more established ones.
There's a bit of a change of scenery to keep in mind, too. The Comedy Cabaret - Leeds moved to the Lost & Found Leeds Club on Albion Place after Rev de Cuba closed, so if you've been following them for a while, that's where the night has been landing lately. The move didn't change the format much: the comedy is rounded out with fresh cocktails and a prosecco prize draw in the interval, and there are VIP prosecco packages available if you're heading out with a group and want to sort something a bit more than a round of drinks. Between the acts, the cocktails and the draw keep the energy up, and the prosecco packages mean you can settle in for the night rather than just popping in for a quick set.
