Latte art course for two led by a Head Barista from 200 Degrees, teaching milk texturing and three key latte art designs.
200 Degrees are running a latte art workshop for two in Leeds on Thursday 22 October, a three-hour session led by one of their head baristas. It's aimed at budding coffee enthusiasts who want to take their skills to the next level, and it's designed for two people to take on together, so it works as a date or a proper morning out with a mate.
The session takes you from 'messy splodge' to being able to actually impress with your latte art. You'll start with the basics of milk texturing — getting that microfoam just right — before moving on to the pours themselves. By the end, you'll have worked through three of the classic designs: the heart, the tulip, and the rosetta. It's a hands-on morning, and since you're learning alongside someone else, you can compare your pours as you go.
There's a bit more to it than just the time spent at the machine, too. The booking includes the workshop itself, a 10% voucher for use in 200 Degrees shops, and your choice of a free 250g bag of coffee or a pack of coffee pods to take home. You'll also walk away with a certificate proclaiming you an Advanced Latte Artist, which is a nice thing to have on the wall if you're proud of your new skills.

On the practical side, the minimum age is 16, and anyone under 18 has to be accompanied by an adult. The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, so you've got plenty of time to pick a date that works for both of you. The whole thing is £160 for two people, and you'll need to book at least four weeks in advance.
