Live gig by Kytes, presented by Scruff of the Neck, at Hyde Park Book Club in Headingley.
Kytes play Hyde Park Book Club on Wednesday 21 November, presented by Scruff of the Neck. They're a three-piece formed by friends Michael Spieler, Timothy Lush and Kerim Ćke, who grew up together and developed their sound through closeness, freedom and ease. Since starting out in 2015 they've grown organically, radiating an innate energy with a cocktail of indie and electro pop. Since 2018 they've released all their music through their own label, Frisbee Records, and have built an international following with sold-out European tours, more than 100 million streams, a #1 Hype Machine chart position and international awards.
Their third record, To Feel Something At All (2023), is a back-to-the-roots indie album, fast and full of nostalgia and emotion. It was recorded with the Viennese producer filous, mixed by New Yorker Andrew Maury and mastered by Grammy winner Joe Laporta. The night is for ages 14 and over, with under-18s accompanied by an adult. Kytes are supported by gibberish and Gadabout.
