Monthly farm market with local produce, crafts and children's activities at Kirkstall Valley Farm.
Kirkstall Valley Farm is hosting its monthly market this Saturday, 24 October, from 10:30am to 2:30pm. It's a regular thing — the fourth Saturday of every month — so if you can't make this one, there'll be another in a few weeks. It's a relaxed, family-friendly day with children's activities running alongside the stalls, and it's open to makers, bakers, growers, artists and small businesses, so you'll find local produce and crafts in the same place.
The farm itself is the community farm of the Kirkstall Valley Development Trust and part of the Community Supported Agriculture network. It supplies weekly fresh vegetables to local members through a Harvest Share Membership Scheme, which helps maintain the land and gives people a way to get involved. The market is just one part of what goes on here.
Throughout the year, the farm also runs workshops, volunteer days and seasonal orchard celebrations through the Fruitful Bradford Project. That includes pruning and grafting courses, spring Blossom Picnics, autumn Apple Days and winter Wassails, so there's usually something to do across the seasons.
