Monthly drop-off kids yoga session for children to learn breathing and emotional regulation, with parents waiting outside.
Love Yoga Leeds is running another Kids Yoga Chill Club session on Friday 13 November, from 3:45pm to 5:45pm. It's a two-hour drop-off session, so you leave them at 3:45pm and collect them at 5:45pm, which gives you a solid two hours of your own afternoon back.
The club was set up by Love Yoga Leeds to support children's confidence, emotional regulation and mental wellbeing. It sits alongside their other kids' offering: a weekly Thursday 6pm Kids Yoga class, monthly Family Yoga, and Kids Yoga Camps. This one is specifically for parents who can't fit a weekly class into their schedule — it runs only once a month, with no term to commit to and no catch-up if a session is missed.
During the two hours, children learn how to use their body when big feelings arrive. One of the techniques they'll practice is breathing out longer than they breathe in, a skill research shows can improve emotional regulation and attention. The classes are calm and pressure-free, with no competition and no parents in the room, and they end with a peaceful guided rest. Zoe Baldwin Jones is the one leading the session.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Leeds and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
