Award-winning stand-up show 'Trout' by Kate Dolan, fresh off sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Kate Dolan brings her award-winning comedy hour Trout to The Wardrobe on Thursday 15 July 2027. It's a full hour of stand-up that's already done sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Melbourne Comedy Festival, so it's not exactly a work-in-progress by the time it reaches Leeds.
The show has picked up two awards along the way: the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's Directors' Choice Award 2026 and The Edinburgh Fringe Skinny-Fest Breakthrough Award 2025. The reviews give you a fair idea of what to expect. The Scotsman called it "irrepressibly funny... reminiscent of Jim Carrey", and The Skinny described it as "outlandishly expressive yet honest", with the laughter never stopping. If those two descriptions hold up, you're looking at a high-energy set that doesn't let up for the full hour.
