Karis Amber

Karis Amber plays The Domino Club on Wednesday 28 October, with doors opening at 8 pm and the set starting at 9 pm. It's a Leeds-based night put on by the club itself, and Amber is the sole name on the bill.

Amber is an alt neo-soul artist based here in Leeds. She describes her sound as a blend of soul and trip hop, mixing melodic bedroom beats with raw vocals to create something moody. If you're familiar with the trip hop side of things, you'll know that slower, beat-driven foundation, and the neo-soul brings the melodic, vocal-led side of it. It's a combination that sits somewhere between a late-night living room session and a proper club night, and she's bringing it to a live stage.

Since she's based in the city, this is a local show rather than a touring date. The night is organised by The Domino Club, and it's for ages 18 and over. You'll find them at Unit 7 Grand Arcade, Leeds LS1 6PG, right in the city centre.
