Stand-up show 'Fully Dilated' by Julian Clary, his first return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 17 years and a stop on his 2027 UK tour.
Julian Clary brings his new stand-up show, Fully Dilated, to Leeds Grand Theatre on Wednesday 5 May 2027. It's a brand-new set that follows an acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and for Clary, it's a bit of a milestone: his first return to the Fringe in 17 years. That run anchors a 40-date UK tour across the spring of 2027, with the Leeds date being one of the stops.
The premise is a departure from the persona he's built over the years. Clary says he's dropping the stage act to reveal the intimate secrets and the traumas that led him to become a camp comic and, in his own words, a renowned homosexual. He's promising unfiltered honesty and adult themes, so it's less about the polished routine and more about the person behind the character. The Daily Telegraph called him 'the doyen of camp comedy' and The Times noted that 'the jokes still keep on coming', which gives you a sense of where he's coming from, even if this one is meant to be a bit more stripped back.
